Skills Development
There is no penalty for not implementing a skills development programme except that if you choose not to train you would forfeit access to Government levy refunds and it could count against you for Government contracts.
However, if you do intend to train, or if you need to train in terms of your ISO rating or Employment Equity Plan, you can access levy refunds for this training. You would then benefit from the following services from Brentwood:
Option 1:
Outsourcing. We would provide a part-time consultant who would handle your Skills Development requirements on your premises.
This service covers:
- Registration as the Company's Skills Development Facilitator in terms of the Act
- Related administration
- Set up and co-ordinate the training plan
- Conduct a skills analysis
- Prepare, monitor and submit your training plan
- Prepare and submit training reports and claims
- The contact point with the SETA in your industry
- Co-ordinate internal and external training bursaries, assessment and quality standards
Option 2:
Expand consulting to include skills development.
This service could include actually doing the work
and handling necessary consultation.
